Raspberry Island and South West Afognak Island Elk, Deer, and Duck in the Kodiak Island Archipelago, Alaska-we are a remote, full service wilderness lodge located on Raspberry Island in Raspberry Straits. We are in the middle of the Raspberry Island and SW Afognak Island Elk herds, and Sitka Blacktailed Deer visit our yard. My family started outfitting Elk and Deer hunts on Raspberry and South West Afognak Islands in the mid 1980s, and I have been hunting these hills and surrounding country since I was young. We know this country, the animals, and the weather, and feel we are best prepared to host you on a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable hunt.
Our lodge is well appointed and comfortable, and hunters enjoy our heated guest cabins with soft beds, outdoor jetted hot tub, hot showers, and banya (sauna). Meals are prepared daily and are served family style, focusing on the fuel your body needs to hunt these animals. Meals feature plentiful helpings of tasty hors d’oeuvres, home made pastas, grilled steaks, crisp salads and freshly made breads. Game is hung in our large meat house safe from bears, and hunters are welcome to use our 100 yard shooting range.
Aside from comfort, we offer the flexibility to hunt a different drainage each day, transported in our 37' aluminum catamaran with heated cabin. Our remote location ensures travel time is minimal and first light hunting in a new place every day is what we specialize in.
We offer both unguided/drop off type hunts, as well as fully guided hunts with a packer. Over ninety percent of our hunters are from Alaska.
