Raspberry Island

and nearby Southwest Afognak Island are home to Alaska’s Roosevelt elk and Sitka black-tailed Deer.  The waters between these islands provide important wintering habitat for harlequin, Barrows goldeneye, long-tailed ducks, scoters, red-breasted and common mergansers, and other puddlers.
 
From late September through mid-December, our modern, off-grid, oceanfront wilderness lodge serves as a safe and comfortable base of operations, offering unguided daily boat drop-off and pick-up hunts for elk and deer, along with fully guided fair chase hunts for sea duck species collection. 
 
Thirty-five miles beyond Kodiak City, accessible only by boat or bush plane, our private guest cabins, central main lodge, and Nordic-themed spa make the long, cold, often wet days in the field a lot more comfortable, while still keeping you close enough to be in the field early for full days of hunting.
 
Scratch-cooked meals featuring the pastas and proteins your body needs to hunt this land, locally brewed beer on tap, and selected wines ensure that adventures outside are complemented by good food and relaxed evenings.
 
Our family has shaped Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge for over four decades, spanning three generations, for new and returning travelers who value Alaska’s wilderness without surrendering comfort, safety, or thoughtful care.
