Planning a Trip

to visit Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge is easy.  Our packages are nearly all inclusive, and we are always ready to communicate with you as you have questions before and after you finalize your reservation with us.  Our lifetime of experience on Raspberry Island has established the infrastructure and relationships to help us ensure your experience into Alaska’s wild is seamless and exceeds your expectations.  
 
We hope you have enjoyed researching your trip, and hope the information found within our website is helpful.  Alaska is a HUGE place, and many of our guests choose to visit us because of our remote location, away from perceived crowds around more easily accessible destinations, and the diversity of experiences that so naturally happen from here.  We believe the comforts we have woven into our infrastructure are also a subtle nod to roughing it in Alaska’s wild, but with the smooth side up.

A few more things to consider:

  • Please connect with us as soon as you are comfortable with planning a trip.  Our calendars are open two years in advance, and with over sixty percent of our clientele returning guests who finalize their reservations in advance, ensuring they are able to visit when most convenient to them.  This doesn’t mean we’re always fully booked, it just means reach out when you’re ready.
  • We are very happy to direct you elsewhere if we feel we’re not the optimal destination for you; for example, if you’d like to focus more on a fully guided deer or bear hunt, we’re happy to recommend a guide to you.
  • We are open from late September through mid December every year; have a look at the When to Visit page, below, or let us know what your focuses are and we can help recommend an optimal time that is comfortable with your travel or permit schedule.

We understand that planning a trip like this may be overwhelming—Alaska tends to do that.  We encourage you to connect with us when you’re ready, and we are happy to help with the questions on your mind.

When To visit

The best time to visit is often decided for you if you have earned a drawing permit.  Our winter season opens later in September and typically runs through early to mid-December.
