Coastal Alaskan Dining

is instrumental to life here at Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge. Each morning begins with a hearty Alaskan breakfast and strong coffee, built to fuel a full day climbing mountains or holding still behind lines of decoys.
Before heading out for the day, guests receive made-to-order field lunches, packed fresh each morning and designed to travel well by boat or backpack.
Four-course evening meals are scratch-cooked and centered around the proteins and carbs your body needs to hunt this country. Breads, salads, sides, and well-earned desserts are prepared in-house.
The lodge’s open kitchen allows visitors to observe the energy and professionalism behind each meal. Guests are welcome to gather near the bar for appetizers before dinner, but when it’s time to serve, our team moves with purpose to deliver plated meals promptly and properly.
We serve a different breakfast and dinner each day, built around recipes refined over two generations. We can accommodate certain dietary restrictions and preferences when communicated in advance.
We are DEC-approved and hold a liquor license that allows us to serve complimentary beer and wine with dinner. Beer is brewed locally by Kodiak Island Brewing Company and served on tap from our kegerator, while wines are selected to pair with each evening’s meal. Our mountain-cold fresh water remains among the most refreshing we know.
Dining here—whether in the lodge or in the field—centers on good food, shared stories, and the steady rhythm of days well spent, with many returning guests looking forward to these same meals served around these same tables, year after year.
